VALIDATION TOOL PROJECT MANAGER – Cornwall FLOW Accelerator

Salary in the range of £50,000 dependent on experience 

37 hours per week

Initially fixed-term to 30th June 2023 (this post is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund)

Based in Hayle, Cornwall with some remote working

 

Celtic Sea Power (the trading name for Wave Hub Development Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cornwall Council) is dedicated to leading the strategic development of the Celtic Sea for Floating Offshore Wind (FLOW). We are on the cusp of a very exciting period in the delivery of that mission so are looking to grow a team capable of leading, innovating and inspiring both a region and an industry.

 

Celtic Sea Power is leading the Cornwall Floating Offshore Wind Accelerator, a part-ERDF funded project, which will develop tools, knowledge and data which accelerate the Celtic Sea FLOW opportunity and lay significant groundwork with respect to developing pipeline at both a FLOW project and supply chain level. The partners include the University of Exeter, University of Plymouth, the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, and together we will;

 

Develop wind resource tools for the Celtic Sea based the acquisition of wind resource data,
Design, develop and build a floating offshore wind simulator as a vehicle for:

high level installation, operations & maintenance (O&M) analysis
marine operations modelling analysis of commercial scale (500MW) FLOW wind farms

Provide research led expertise to iterate conceptual low carbon footprint solutions to underpin the FLOW service
Undertake business engagement, dissemination and partnership building.

We are seeking an experienced offshore renewable professional to play a leading role in the delivery of the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator.

To effectively project management the wind resource data acquisition and delivery work package on time and on budget
To compliantly procure and project manage a Lidar data campaign
To develop and execute a data sharing and dissemination plan providing support to businesses within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
To ensure the project budget is defrayed in line with the cost programme and in ensuring compliance with all ERDF and other funding rules
Act as the main point of contact for key offshore stakeholders including regulators, NGO’s and the Fishing Industry

DATA ANALYST – Cornwall FLOW Accelerator

To support the delivery of the wind resource data acquisition and delivery work package,
To develop the key requirements for an effective data acquisition, tool development and dissemination campaign to provide support to businesses,
To support the execution of a data sharing and dissemination plan providing support to businesses within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly,
To effectively procure and contract manage the Project’s digital requirements including hardware, websites and data sharing platforms,
Effectively work with delivery partner colleagues across the workstreams and act as a data coordinator for all Project outputs.

We are seeking an experienced business development professional to play a leading role in the delivery of the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator.

Working effectively with the Project Delivery Partners, develop a portfolio of carbon reducing business support offers based on the dissemination of project activity results
Create a pipeline of demand for the portfolio, and develop a conversion strategy to which delivers the Cornwall FLOW Accelerators contracted outputs
Identify the needs of applicants, carry out due diligence, ensure ERDF eligibility, propose interventions and account manage the customer journey
Develop and maintain strong networks within the FLOW sector and low carbon supply chain. Act as the projects key market intelligence resource

ADMINISTRATOR – Cornwall FLOW Accelerator

We are seeking an experienced finance, administration and/or office management professional to play a leading role in the delivery of the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator.

Playing a lead role in the support of Cornwall FLOW Accelerator and Celtic Sea Power Team activities
Ensure the effective execution of financial, organisational, secretarial and administrative systems for the Project in order to meet internal, EU and other external funding agreement requirements,
Support in the development of systems to support project requirements
Run and monitor administrative systems to ensure all internal and external funding body requirements are met, including data collection and internal/external audits
To co-ordinate the implementation of corporate policies and procedures which are relevant to the Project.
